The German Association for Pattern Recognition (DAGM) and the Austrian Association for Patter Recognition (OAGM) announce their Joint Pattern Recognition Symposium (34th DAGM, 36th OAGM) to be held in Graz, Austria. The conference addresses recent advances in theory, methodology and applications in the fields of computer vision, pattern recognition and machine learning.

We are looking forward to welcome the following invited speakers:

Authors are invited to submit full-length, high-quality papers presenting previously unpublished work directly related to the key subjects of the conference. Submitted papers will be reviewed based on the criteria of originality, soundness, presentation, and empirical

The conference language for all papers and contributions is English.

We invite authors to submit papers related (but not limited) to:

The proceedings will be published by Springer in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series. The best contributions will receive DAGM and OAGM awards. DAGM also invites nominations for the German Pattern Recognition Award (Deutsche Mustererkennungspreis), which will be awarded at the conference (see http://www.dagm.de/)

We also invite contributions to DAGM's Young Researcher's Forum dedicated to the presentation of outstanding achievements during Diplom or Masters studies, or during the first year after graduation. Submissions are due by May 13, 2012. Details are available on the conference website.

We are looking for workshop and tutorial proposals. Please submit a one page summary via e-mail to dagm12@icg.tugraz.at
