Additional Comments:

  • In case you registered for the final exam and cannot take part in it (e.g. a collision with another exam), please let us know this at least one week in advance.
  • If you could not take part in the final exam and fail the re-exam, we will offer an oral examination as a second chance to pass the lecture.
  • If you pass either the final exam or the re-exam, then you will not have the oral examination as an additional opportunity.

  • Geometry Processing:
    • Processing of 3D scanner data
    • Registration, reconstruction, data fitting
  • Practical Skills: Programming assignments & tutorials

 

Formal requirements:

Registration:

  • Please send an e-mail to Jens Kerber to confirm your participation until April 29th 2010
  • The e-mail should include your full name, your student ID and your main subject (CS, Bio-Inf, VisComp)
  • In addition you will have to register yourself in the HISPOS system in order to sign up for the exam
  • More information will be given in the first lecture

Passing the lecture:

  • There will be theoretical and practical exercises.
  • You need to participate in all exercises and obtain at least 50% of the total exercise scores.
  • You will have to pass a written final exam or a written reexam.
  • You can take either the final or the reexam or both. Final grade is the better of the up to two outcomes.
  • If you achieve more than 50% of the score in the exercises you will obtain a bonus score for the exam.

GeoX Framework:

  • You can download the sources here.
  • An introduction to the GeoX framework can be found here.
  • Additional hints for the compilation under Unix/Linux are given here.
  • Please note that the software is open source (GPL2)
