MPI Informatics Building Model v1.0 - Input Data
|
Here we list the different sources of the data that were used for the
virtual reconstruction of the MPII building.
- Eight high-dynamic range HDR
photographs were taken during the
night in order to avoid the influence of outdoor lighting. We used the method of
multiple exposures. The source
LDR images (2,703,369,103 Bytes) which we used for
this acquisition are available.
- Many ordinary photos (LDR images) were taken by digital camera in order to make the
modeling process more accurate . These photos
(419,802,773 Bytes) were
classified according to the location or the objectives of acquisition. The
quality of these pictures is varying, they have been taken between
2003 and 2008 with several different digital compact cameras.
- The same collection of photos as above, but not classified, can
be downloaded
(373,245,788 Bytes).
- To make the process of finalization easier, three short
video
documents (39,739,163 Bytes)
were shot and used for the virtual reconstruction. However, the quality is rather low because
these were recorded with an ordinary digital (photographic) camera in video
mode. Nevertheless, they provide the impression of the building's interior.
